Social Networking

Every teenager feels the urge to stay connected with friends through the Internet. That is where they get to see the latest gossip, who is dating who, and new pictures to make fun of. Research has shown that it has made a very big negative impact. People go through very hard bullying through the internet. They might get mean and vulgar comments from other people. The problem about this, is that they probably would not do that to the persons face. Also, people really say what they feel through MSN, or Facebook. They don't go up to people anymore, or even write letters. That is also something that is not good because it has completely changed the whole system of things. It can also get very dangerous. It could be possible that a stalker makes its way through to children who don't really know what they are doing because the trust the person. Parents should really keep a close eye on kids, or tell them how it is supposed to be properly used. Of course, without exaggerating. Staying connected can be a very nice thing, as long as it is in good control.

Digital media in Schools

Schools are being very affected by Internet. Computers are something that have a big influence in many schools all over the world. People consider copy and pasting work not cheating. I strongly disagree. Teachers leave homework and books to read, so that people read them. Not go home and use spark notes to copy everything. Teachers should make them do their essays at school, so they can really see who is doing their homework and who is not. That would help make it more difficult for students o cheat their way throughout high school. It will make them be more responsible. Teachers do not come to school to be entertainers. They come to teach with their own ways. Those teenagers that don’t really care about the class, will just fail and have bigger problems. But teachers are not meant to be entertainers, not at all. Schools are what change the future. They should start as soon as possible by making an impact. Or else this Internet society will never change.

Intenet at Home

They produced this video, not for the children, but more like for the schools and parents. They are the ones that have the power to stop students from this madness. Obviously not the teenagers, they are already too caught up in the addiction. This video is a very good example for people to follow. Throughout the whole story we hear a variety of voices, form teachers, parents and students. Their stories are very shocking because we see that parents have really no idea what goes on with kids and the Internet. There was this on girl who even changed her name, and posted some private photographs. It is no secret that the Internet is not a safe place to be, and people must take charge on their children so they can be able to use it right. Having internet is a priveledge, and people must really learn how it is supposed to be used.

Digital Media in School

The guy should definitely feel guilty because I can swear that it is the minimum effort possible. The normal thing would have been to read the book like the teachers ask for it. Not expect other people to do it for you. It is cheating in a various amount of ways. Also, a lot of people do that kind of stuff. It seems t be the "normal" thing to do these days. It is something that definitely should start changing. If people keep on doing that, nobody will learn. They might become very lazy when they get older. And just want to find the easy way out of things. That’s not the point of school. We go there to learn! Not to finish assignments. Schools all over the world should start looking for ways to stop this from happening. It will not lead to any good. I think that teachers are not so much like entertainers. Although some people think they are. People know a days don’t get amused so easily as they used to. So teachers have to go out of their normal was in order to appeal to the classmates.

Internet at Home

I definitely think that most teenagers use Internet at home to chat with friends and stay connected. I remember when I was younger that I would use Internet a lot less that I do now. It’s become something more like a virus, once you have it, you can’t get rid of it. Or it becomes very hard to. The people at my house, who most use the computer, would definitely have to be me. My brother also uses it a lot, but I think use it a lot more. I have a laptop, which makes everything so much easer because I can take it anywhere I want to go. So does my younger brother. And my mom has a very bid ne in her room, and my dad also has a laptop. In my house the computer is used a whole lot. Mostly for about 2 hours a day, at the least. My mom and dad and brother also use a lot of the computer, it may be because of homework, or other reasons but the computer does get used a lot. We don’t do as much reading as we should. Although I am now trying to. Internet is now a huge society, and I really hope it does not last forever.

Christmas Vacation

This Christmas Break was very fun. Luckily I didn’t stay here and I went out. First I went with my dad’s part of the family to Mexico City. There I did a lot of shopping and eating out in different restaurants. The bad part was that I got stomach flu so I had to be very picky to what I was eating, so I didn’t enjoy everything as much as I could have. On Christmas Eve, all of the family came over to my grandparent’s house. Here I played a lot of board games with my cousins. Next came the best part, the presents. I received many of them since my family is very big. I got a lot of money and clothes, as well as a new sheet for my bed. Following the presents, it was time to have dinner. There we all ate a lot and talked. It was very comforting to have the whole family there together. My cousins and I stared to get very tired so we all went upstairs to watch TV. I was the first one to fall asleep. The next morning I woke up really late and had a very good breakfast with my grandma. In a few hours my mom was going to pick us p to go to Acapulco with some friends and her boyfriend.
Once we got there, it was getting close to nighttime. So we went out for dinner. The days went past very quickly. All throughout being in Acapulco I did a lot of things. The days got closer and closer to New Years Eve. And when the day finally came we were all very excited. We decided to spend it at a neighbor’s house. We all had to pitch in by bringing some food over. Everything was perfect. The whole backyard was full of tables and food. When the countdown was going to start, we all ate our grapes very quickly and made our wishes. There were fireworks coming from all over the place, it was truly amazing. We were to leave the 3, so I had to make the last day the best, so we all went to the beach and rented a beautiful yatch. The next day we made our way back to Mexico City. There we spend the night at one of my mom’s friend’s house. The next day we got up early to go to the airport.
Once I arrived to my house, I unpacked all of my stuff and took a shower. I know felt completely relaxed and just wanted to go to sleep. Then I remembered I had a lot of homework to do. The following day I finished it all in the morning and then went with my mom to help her do her errands. I got back to my house pretty late, so I went to have dinner with my dad. I then took out my uniforms and all, and went to bed early. That way I could get some rest for today at school. These were my Christmas vacations. And they were absolutely fun. I would love to have had more time though.
