Roller Coasters

I personally did really like looping at all of the different roller coasters. The themes were what I liked the best. There were ones of candy, china, the jungle, New York, Alice in Wonderland, and Mexico’s Soccer Team. From the candy world one, I really liked the whole decoration; they did make a big effort in putting all of the candy on it. It was the one that mostly caught our attention out of the rest of them. When they put the little ball on it so it can run through it, at first it did not make it all the way through. But by their second try, it did make it. They seemed very happy that they accomplished it. The China one was also creative and they also make it the second time. It had dragons and red colored paper, which made it very fun to look at. The jungle one was very well made. They were able to but about 5 balls at the same time and they all ran through great. Their tubs were very well made. None of the balls ever fell of. The Alice in Wonderland one was also pretty good, but it took them a really long to make it go through the whole way. They said that happened because it was made since Friday, and by today it had gotten way too soggy. My all time favorite was the Mexico Soccer team one, it was the only one that did make it all the way through it by the first try and was also very well decorated. I loved it, because they did put a lot of effort to it. But for decoration, the Candy land one was the best one. They were very fun to look at, I loved them and I cant wait to make my own one.

Fransciso From Iraq

He was very shocking to the whole class. I enjoyed it very much because of what he would tell us about his past experiences. Its really hard to believe that those kinds of situations actually happen throughout the whole world. I think it was the only class we have ever had that we were all completely quiet. We were all to amazed to talk or to not pay pay attention. Personally, i didn't expect it to be so serious. I thought he might have had a simple or a non-violent job in the army. I was proved very wrong. I am sure nobody expected his to be so open and willing to talk about that to us. That was something that completely changed what i though i knew about that topic. It was a shock to everyone.

All About Me

My name is Fernanda and my friends call me Fer. I have lived here in Puerto Vallarta for about 5 years now. I have had one of the best experiences here ever. I used to live in San Diego for most of my life, but then we moved here to Mexico. I now see that the two are actually very different and I can easily imagine that it is the same case there in Bangkok. I have never been there, but as far as I know, it seems very interesting. There are a very wide variety of things I enjoy doing. I actually used to be very sporty a few years back. I played soccer, tennis, and gymnastics. Now, I have kind of fallen back on the habit of doing sports, even though I do occasionally have to run laps in P.E class. Other things I really enjoy doing are cooking and drawing. Those are about the only creative things I can do. I can’t sing at all, and I can’t dance. I can fluently speak two languages, Spanish and English. When I was younger, I could also speak French but I forgot how to. All I can remember are the colors and numbers. I also really enjoy music, but nothing related to Disney, like Miley Cyrus and that stuff. I prefer other types.
I love movies. I have seen practically every movie made on earth. It is a very addictive pastime. Reading is something that also interests me deeply. My favorite set of books is the Twilight Saga. I am completely in love with Edward Cullen. I don’t know if you know whom I’m talking about, but in case you don’t, he is a very seductive and completely handsome Vampire. That is what my friends and I are kind of obsessed with. He is my impossible love, and I also love the movies, even though the first two have barley been released (Twilight and New Moon). They are both amazing and I deeply recommend you see them both. If you are a girl, you’ll fall in love with either Jacob, the sexy werewolf, or Edward, the romantic vampire. If you are a boy, you’ll enjoy the action.
Changing subject, I am deeply excited to be going to Acapulco on Christmas Vacation. I can’t wait to see all of my family and receive many, many presents. For the moment I am single, and still waiting to find my Edward Cullen. Nobody is good enough here… hahaha just kidding. I have long dark brown hair and brown eyes. I am very tall like, 5"6 and I am not overweight or anything like that. I am looking forward to learning more about you, and my teacher has informed us, that we are going to be pen pals. So I suppose that will work out perfectly. Well, more about me is that my life dream is to travel the world. I would love to do that right before I go to college. Get to know all of the places I have never been to before. I went once to Europe when I was younger, and from what I remember, it was amazing. I enjoyed learning more about the cultures there. As well as I am also very eager to learn more about your culture. I hope with what I have said about myself, you get a good picture of what I am like. I am looking forward to reading your reply. Sound Mash Up

For this second mash up that we made, it was very different. I think it was a lot harder to do than the sound Mash Up. Since I made all of the sounds myself, it took me a lot longer to do. Although, I also think that the teacher should have given us a more wide variety of sources and more things to use. Since with only the sounds it is a lot harder to make it have a specific rhythm that fits in. It was very hard to think of what sounds to use in my song at first. But then I got more of the hang of it. The thing I like the most of my ending song is that all of the sounds were made from me and my friends. The only thing I would have changed would have been that I would have made more sounds with the things around me rather than all on with my own voice. My song lasts 1:35 minutes, and has a few pits of other songs. I really enjoyed doing it and liked how it turned out in the end. I would very much enjoy it if we could do another one like this but with fewer restrictions and more possibilities.

Mash-Upz!

In my Group mash ups, I saw a variety of many things. In my Group there was Paola, Jorge, Eduardo, Pedro Pablo, and Taku. I enjoyed watching Paola’s since she used a lot of songs throughout the whole mash up. I loved how Taku elaborated his. It was very complete and was one of the ones that I liked the best. From seeing all of their Mash ups, I noticed that I should have probably used a lot more songs than the ones that I used. I was only able to use three different songs, but it sounded as if I had only used two. I enjoyed watching all of the mash up that were in my group. I realized that it is actually very easy to make mash ups for everyone.

With my mash ups, I did encounter a few consequences but in the end it was worth it. At first I had no idea how to use garage band since I used my Mac. It was very hard to understand what program to use. After a few minutes I was able to see how to use it, and I was actually quite easy. I finally finished the mash up in an hour and a half. Once I finished doing my mash up, I transferred it into Itunes. When I listened to in once in my ipod, it sounded as if it were a real song. I am very happy with how it turned out in the end, but I would have definitely changed the fact that I really only used three songs. I enjoyed the whole process of making my Mash up.

Tryping Tracker

I am definitely looking forward to doing the test even though I suck at typing. I can’t type accurately without looking down at the keyboard. I will not do well on the test, but I am hoping that I won’t fail it. Although, I do think I have improved since the begging of the year. There are some days that I do better than in others. I see how my other classmates write very quickly without even looking, and I feel bad. I am definitely not able to do that. I do wish to learn how they do that. I can imagine it will take a lot of practice. What I will need to be better, is practice any time I can. Like if I am on Facebook, or chatting with my friends, I could practice there. That will be one way I could possibly improve. I think that I will get a 19 on gross speed, 17 on net speed, and 85% accuracy. This assumption is based on the average of my other typing tests I have done. I also lowered the grade a little bit, because I haven’t been 100% true to myself. There are some times that I sneak a peek at my keyboard. I am both nervous and excited for the exam; I really hope I do exceptionally well.

Future Artifact

While i was doing this artifact, i actually learned a lot of things. For example, i learned how to change the text on an already existing object. I really do like how my artifact ended up looking like. The only thing i did not like was the fact that it does not look 100% real. I would have definitely have liked to make in perfection if i could have the chance to know other Photo shop secrets. At first i was very stuck to find pictures that represented what I wanted them to. After a while, i finally stared to get a lot luckier. It was not that hard to make the artifact since it is a very simple process. Although, the hardest problem to solve was that i couldn't think of a way to make the DVD dream catcher look real! That was the part of the project that i would have to be taught how to do. If this devise does occur in the future, i would be the first one to buy it. Having a dream catcher would be awesome. That way people wont have to worry if they forget their dream. Also, if you dream a very romantic and sweet dream, you could watch it over and over again. As if it were a movie. I am very happy with the ending result of my Future artifact.

This artifact was something that did impress me. It stated that in the future, we will depend on an iphone to do anything we wish to do. For example, be the key to your house, or even be the airplane ticket. I would definitely buy that iphone. It is something that will come in handy for any situation. I loved the artifact, it looks practically real. And it is not hard to imagine that that will actually be available in the future.

this was Anna's artifact. I completely love the idea of having a airplane that could travel in space. I would love to be on one of those flights. I can imagine all the amazing things i could see. Apart form being very cool looks SO real. It looks as if a pro made it. Also, the name is very original. I fell in love with the whole idea and presentation. It was a very interesting things to see. It could help in many positive ways. Like for teaching. You have a front row seat in seeing the sun up close. That you definitely be an amazing and unforgettable experience.

From all of the other projects that my classmates, i can tell that the future definitely seems very bright. We all had amazing ideas, and i don't doubt that in some time in the future they will all exist. I remember seeing a machine that could make babies! Now that is what i call interesting. The future is something we don't know a lot about but we can predict what we think might happen. These artifact will change the way we look at life now. They might make us a lot lazier. But there is always a down side to all the good things. If my artifact existed, it could not brig any bad outcomes. Since it does not really make you a lazy person, it just, makes dreaming a whole lot more fun. We would no longer have to worry about forgetting them. As well as, if we have a really really good dream, we can watch it over and over again. Like a personal love story to have on DVD. The same applies if you have a nightmare, you have it on DVD, to show all of your friends. Even doctors could use the benefits of this. They can learn a lot more about the human brain. They could see why it is we dream what we dream. As well as us knowing what is really on our subconscious mind. I am very happy with the outcome of my project. I cant wait to see what the future holds for us.
